Service Call Center Change

New Online Form Available to Request Support!

The service call center has new hours of operation; they are now open 8 AM - 8 PM, EST, Monday through Friday. All customers with 24x7 contracts have been notified of the change in hours. Simultaneously we launched a new online form for requests to be sent any time of day! Everyone is talking about "big data" these days. The challenge that all government agencies (Fed and SLED) still continue to struggle with is what I call the "digital divide". What exactly does that mean? Most government agencies continue to grapple with the mountains of data trapped in an unstructured paper format that's not searchable. According to one digital services expert who recently participated in a Federal Computer Week panel "Digital is taking things that had not been searchable before electronically and turning that into searchable information that can be accessed using a range of digital tools so that we can find our own information better…so that we can analyze it more effectively with digital tools and aggregate it. It's that whole range of things that can be done with information that is now in electronic form." Another panelist stated "When you have paper forms, you have to fill out everything because each form is its own thing. When you have digital forms, you can start to change to the mindset that we're collecting pieces of data." Read the article.
